‘The festival of lights’ came alive at Dr. Pillai Global Academy Gorai, on 1st of November when the whole school wore a festive look. Our school celebrated Diwali in its unique way, where the whole school was decorated with a pirate theme. Different stalls of activities were set up for children on this day like mehndi, tattoo, hair braiding along with creative games were set up related to the theme. Various food stalls were organized for students and parents who all had a great time. The best dressed student, parent and teacher were awarded by our Deputy C.E.O Dr. Sharda Sharma who felicitated the winners. The Event was a grand success!

DPGA brings in the festive season of Diwali in its own inimitable way. Teachers and students begin preparations for the “Party Day” well in advance. Diyas are painted and decorated to be sold. An elaborate menu is decided upon that will be reasonably priced and sold on party day. The party area is decorated.

On Party Day (27th October) students dressed in colourful party outfits with head bands (bandanas) along with their parents and teachers join in the celebrations. It was heartening to see parents and students making a beeline at different food stalls catering to the gastronomic tastes of all. One could see teachers rushing with fresh stock of food as replenishment.

It was delightful to see the school staff, parents and students mingling and wishing each other good luck, prosperity and a happy Diwali.
