X-uBer-Ance, Mathoscope, and Scintillation November 2024

Dr. Pillai Global Academy came alive with enthusiasm and creativity on 23rd November 2024 as we proudly hosted X-uBer-Ance 2024, a spectacular event celebrating the boundless talent, imagination, and innovation of our students. 🎭🎶🔬
This unforgettable day began with cultural and artistic performances, including enchanting classical and Western fusion dances, captivating fancy dress displays, electrifying rock band acts, and a unique flame-free feast that showcased students’ culinary artistry through creative no-cook recipes. The performances were a feast for the senses, blending creativity and confidence in every act!
Complementing X-uBer-Ance were Mathoscope and Scintillation, vibrant exhibitions under the theme “S.T.E.A.M. Ahead: Innovations for Tomorrow.” These exhibitions showcased scientific ingenuity and mathematical prowess through remarkable projects such as water filtration models, hydroelectric power, smart dustbins, ripple tanks, DNA structures, and earthquake-resistant designs. The exhibits also explored mathematical concepts like coordinate grids, rotational symmetry, and Pythagoras’ theorem, along with the wonders of science including holograms, glowing periodic tables, and centripetal force demonstrations. 🌍💡
The Dark Room became a crowd favorite with fascinating light experiments, reflective displays, and vibrant mathematical equations, truly bringing science and math to life! These projects were rooted in Cambridge methodologies like Thinking and Working Mathematically (TWM) and Scientifically (TWS), enhancing students’ analytical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
Environmental awareness took center stage with skits and dances promoting themes like “Save Earth – The Warning Across Time: A Guide to Save Earth.” Creative collages, charts on sustainable development, and artifacts crafted from waste materials reflected students’ commitment to sustainability.
Adding to the excitement, the No Bag Day Activity brought playful and educational twists to classrooms from hopscotch.
