On 31st August 2024, our school hosted the much-anticipated BookAru English Literary Fest, a vibrant celebration of literature and culture. The event, themed “Literary Journeys: Exploring Different Cultures and Places through Literature,” showcased the creativity and talent of our students, teachers, and community.

The day was packed with engaging activities that truly captured the essence of the theme. The festivities includedcaptivating dance performances and fashion shows, both of which brought to life the diverse cultures depicted in literature. Parents’ session on “Encouraging Reading and Writing in Multiple Languages.” emphasized the importance of multilingualism in broadening literary horizons and fostering cross-cultural understanding.

The event also featured an array of skits, shows, cultural dances, TED talks etc. The interactive stalls, and games tested literary knowledge, and the robotics demonstration showcased uses of technology in everyday life, while the live music show kept the atmosphere buzzing with energy. Food stalls offering a variety of cuisines added a flavourful touch to the day.
BookAru at DPGA is not just a literary festival; it is a journey through the rich tapestry of global cultures as seen through the lens of literature. The success of the event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our students, teachers, and parents, who came together to create an unforgettable experience. We look forward to many more such celebrations that inspire a love for literature and the exploration of the world through books.
