The History-Geography Day was conducted on 29th January, 2016. It was a spectacular presentation. Each class presented a History or Geography topic in the form of art and craft models and through songs and dances. The students were dressed as per their themes. They explained to the other students what their model depicted. All the students had a knowledgeable experience visiting each other’s classes.
The students and teachers of DPGA Gorai organised “Mathematics Fair” (MATH-O-SCOPE) on 17th October, 2015. “A Journey Through The Eyes of Mathematical Perspective”. It was enlightening as well as entertaining for all the students of DPGA and those who came to observe. Parents invited for the fair had a great time. The main aim of this fair was to help the students build interest and confidence in learning the subject.
“Give and you shall receive”
The DPGA, Gorai family (management, teachers, students and parents) had organized various programmes and competitions from time to time to generate funds. These funds will be donated from time to time to support homes, orphanages etc.
The O3 Activity was conducted by the students of Dr. Pillai Global Academy, Gorai. It was aimed at creating an awareness on how we can save our ozone in our own little way, by adopting simple measures such as saving electricity, turning off the taps when not in use keeping the environment clean, using carpools etc.
Origami is an interesting and challenging paper craft. Ori means folding and gami means paper. It is basically a Japanese art. The goal of this art is to transform a flat sheet of paper into finished sculpture. This must be done without cutting or gluing the paper. IB Students made paper sea-horses, frogs, flowers like Rose, lily, lotus, kusudama etc.
